October/November Ministry Update 2020

Dear Ministry Partners and Friends,

I have an exciting update for you. I hope it can bring you some good news in this season of divide and uncertainty!

I'm back in Japan!

Thank you for your generous prayer and support that allowed me to make this trip back to Japan. Today (at the time of writing this) is actually my last day here in Tokyo. By the time you get this, I will be flying over the Pacific Ocean on my way back to the states.

The last month has been amazing. It's been such a blessing to be back. My video update shares a lot about how things have gone, so if you can, please watch it! There are also some pictures from my time down below.

I've loved getting to see with my team, my church, and my friends in Tokyo. I've also been able to reconnect with some of the ministries here. Most importantly though, I have renewed my resident status and I'll be able to reenter the country again later. This means that as soon as I hit 100% of my support, I can come back long-term. My goal is to be fully funded by March 2021!

Please be praying for me to get back full-time as soon as possible and for God to provide more prayer and financial partners to make that happen. Thank you for your prayers and support that have gotten me this far!

Blessings,
Adam Bailey
Reunited with my team in Tokyo! We celebrated October birthdays at an all-you-can-eat Japanese restaurant!

Prayer Requests:

  1. Pray for my time back in the States: I have my work cut out for me if I want to be fully funded my next March. That's only about four months away. Please pray that I would be able to manage my time well and prepare myself as much as I can for the ministry ahead.
  2. Pray for the ministry in Tokyo: It's been great to see how God has been working in Tokyo while I've been gone. My team has been updating me over Zoom calls, but it's much better to be able to see it in person. So praise God for all he has done and continue praying for the ministries my team is a part of in Tokyo. Pray for our three church plants that they can continue to grow as they have and start to think about multiplying. Pray for the student outreach ministries that have all moved online as well and that the team could connect well into the students lives even through a screen. Pray as well for all the other work and evangelism that's happening in the city that the Japanese could be reached for the Gospel.
  3. Pray for my support: My new goal is to be at 100% support by March 2021. I'm currently a little under 50% of my support and need about $3500 more in monthly commitments to be fully funded. Please be praying for God to provide this support through new individuals and churches willing to partner with me. Pray as well that the churches I have been in contact with would want to partner with me and let me share with their congregations.

Photos from the trip:

I didn't take too many pictures from this trip because I was more focused on spending time with people and enjoying being back, but here are some that I managed to get.
