September Ministry Update 2020
Dear Friends and Ministry Partners,
If you can, please watch the video above as it explains what's been going on lately, but to summarize, I'm excited to share with you that I'm making a trip back to Tokyo! Japan started allowing people with visas and resident status back into the country at the beginning of September. I have both of those, but my resident status is about to expire in October so I'm flying back to Japan for about a month to renew my resident status until my visa expires next March. I'll be gone from October 6th to November 2nd.
By extending my resident status, I'll still be able to return to Japan later under the current restrictions. That means that I'll have until my visa expires to raise all of my support and return to Japan full-time. Once I'm back I will be able to renew my visa in the country instead of losing it and having to start the whole process over again. So, the goal is to be fully funded by March 2021!
Reaching this goal is going to take a lot of work and a lot of prayer. This isn't something I'll be able to tackle on my own though. As partners in the ministry with me, you are just as crucial in the work of reaching that goal as I am. You can help by advocating for me to your churches, to your friends, and connecting me with others you think would be interested in partnering with me. If you haven't already you can join me in financial support, and just as importantly, you can commit to praying for the ministry and for the people of Japan.
If you are interested in any of these things then let me know! You can email me at adam.bailey@efca.org, call me at 802-461-4771, or contact me through my website at adamintokyo.com/contact.
As I mentioned in the end of the video, I plan on sending more updates while I am in Tokyo, so stay tuned for those!
Blessings,
Adam Bailey

In August I was able to start speaking at churches again. This picture is of me speaking at Red Door Church's outdoor service on August 30th. Please be praying for more opportunities like this!

Prayer Requests:
- Pray for the details of my trip: Praise God that nearly all of the details of my trip are already figured out. It's been a stressful couple weeks running around to make sure I have everything ready to go. I still need to take a COVID test this weekend before my flight in order to travel so you can be praying that I receive my results in time and that it is negative. There are numerous other small things that need to be planned or finished before I leave on October 6th, so you can pray that everything else goes smoothly and that I can travel without issues.
- Pray for my time in Tokyo: I am super excited to have some time in Tokyo even though I have to come back to the States after. I'm hoping to spend time with my team, get reconnected with some of the ministries I was a part of, and be refreshed by my time back in the country I love. Pray that my time would be encouraging and re-energizing and that I could come back motivated to raise the rest of my support. Pray as well that my time with my team and friends would be meaningful and encouraging to them too.
- Pray for my support: My new goal is to be at 100% support by March 2021. I'm currently at 45% of my support and need about $3500 more in monthly commitments to be fully funded. Please be praying for God to provide this support through new individuals and churches willing to partner with me. Pray as well that the churches I have been in contact with would want to partner with me and let me share with their congregations.
